Silver Biddy

A small, very compressed silvery fish with a highly protrusible mouth used for picking invertebrates from sandy sediment. Common in shallow sandy inshore areas, estuaries and mangrove margins of the Persian Gulf coast. An important forage fish and occasionally taken as bycatch.
